We recently took a road trip to New Norcia Western Australia.
New Norcia is the only monastic town in Australia. New Norcia was founded in 1847 and since then has been a mission, a monastic town and a place of education and now tourism.
You can read about the history of New Norica on the Experience New Norcia website.
Getting to New Norcia
New Norcia is located an easy 132 km north of Perth.
Head north on Great Northern Highway, on your way you must stop into Bindoon and visit the famous Bindoon Bakhause for some baked delights.
Visit in Springtime and you an also see some of Western Australia’s beautiful wildflowers.
